The Bollywood film industry is in such a sad state...
it's a regular and ridiculous cycle.

look at Kaante...
Ohh,, all these big actors making a movie "inspired by" Reservoir Dogs. AND, they're gonna make it hollywood style.

Trailer is released... those who've seen reservoir dogs know the entire story already.
Gupta the hack is damant in interviews...
"Kaante is not a remake of Reservoir Dogs.. anyway, wasn't that a remake of City on Fire? umm. so it's actually a retelling of City on Fire "
RIIIIIGGHT....

I was watching reservoir the other day, and it hit me... there's the line in the warehouse "do you have a point, or are you going to keep barking like a dog?" or something along those lines..
watch the kaante trailer... listen to Sanjay Dutt's line...

The thing that got me most interesed in Kaante in teh beginning (besides AB), is that it was gonna be a man's man movie.. i didn't care if it was gona rip off reservoir...

but now, we have malika arora, isha koppikar, and some other lady for amitabh's chick...

what the heck?

bah hambug on sanjay gupta and his cronies...
i hope they had fun using "pan-american" cameras... :baaa:

Mr. Blonde: Are you gonna bark all day, little doggy, or are you gonna bite?

Sunjay Dutt's character (presumably the same as Mr. Blonde): Saara Din tu bokhega, yah khatega bhi?

A bit too similar for my taste.

I knew this was gonna be crap. I bet the american critics are gonna mutilate it!
Behold! This is gonna be the film that destroys the west current facination with bollywood and everything Indian. Oh god help us!
I'm gonna save myself the embarassment of seeing this one.
Just remember, Sanjay Gupta has NEVER got it right!

It'll be funny how they do the ear-cutting scene with all these backing dancers coming out of nowhere then suddenly disappaering and a cop going through the torture of having to sit and watch it.

Sanjay Gupta is one of the most atrocious directors in the Indian film industry. His films are all worse than the other inspite of having the best resources at his disposal.

this time he has gone 1 further, he has fucked up the post production aswell. rumours are he will release kaante during ramadhan period :oo: if that happens it will flop regardless of the quality just like maan did in 1999.

Rumours abound that Sanjay Gupta actually carries a DVD of whatever his latest inspiration might be on the sets and instructs his cameraman to compose his shots as per the way the original was...that is 'inspired' for you....

on an aside if you heard him on those infamous Dutt-Shakeel tapes catch this famous line of his....

Shakeel :(not exact words, just from memory) Hum logon ko maloom hai tumlog businessman(sic) log ho. Hum to sirf unse takkar lete hain jo humko challenge hon.

Gupta : (obviously gulping hard, with his unmentionables in a place they ought not be) Arre baapre.....

If only some dialog writer gets 'inspired' by this real life conversation...we would have some great lines !!!1

Watching Kaante can be a hisssing experience

PTI [ FRIDAY, AUGUST 30, 2002 12:02:02 PM ]

JAIPUR: Taking its opposition to film Kaante to strange heights, the Shiv Sena on Friday threatened to let loose venemous snakes in theatres showing the movie, allegedly financed by people having connections with the underworld.

Dharnas, demonstrations and tying black bands on arms, the old methods of protest, had lost their appeal and the Sainiks would release poisonous snakes in halls showing Kaante to keep cine-goers away, party leader Nanak Ram Thavani told reporters here.

The Shiv Sainiks had earlier registered their protest against the film, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt, burning posters and courting arrest, Thavani said.

An official spokesman, when asked to comment on the Shiv Sena's threat, said that the administration and police would take appropriate steps to maintain law and order.

The Shiv Sena had submitted a memorandum to Governor Anshuman Singh on Thursday demanding a ban on release of the film in Rajasthan as the earnings from exhibition of the movie would go to "criminal mafias and underworld people", Thavani said.

We already know this film is going to be a mess! Everything with Sanjay Gupta's name involved is. His films are just so bad, they're unwatchable! And we don't even need shiv Sena telling us.

What's even more embarassing is everytime Gupta open his mouth, crap comes out. He always messes up, somehow. This guy seems to have no real solid experience in film-making he just seems like a cowboy trying-to-be film-maker.

BOUEY KAANTE KHODE SAANP!!

KAANTE FACING A NEW LEASE OF PROTESTS!
Shiv Shena threaten to release snakes in cinemas!

It looks like Kaante, which stars the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and Sunil Shetty, is facing even more problems over its proposed release within the next couple of months.

The Hindu nationalist group, Shiv Shena, want the big budget movie to be banned following tapped conversations between Sanjay Dutt and an underworld don.

Members of the group recently burnt posters of the film after claiming all money made from the film will fund underworld activities.

To take matters further, the group have even threatened to release venomous snakes into cinemas which screen the movie.

:baaa: :bangbang:

They really have lost it now.

If they wanted to peacefully picket every theater showing KAANTE, I would have no problem with it.

But people who want to make everyone else live according to their standards give me a rash.

We don't need anymore Talibans!
