Now Sai Digital Base is his own work, ???? When did he say that ? That should be even more shameful for him right now as he should go and take a look at those DVDs... and compare them with his present generation of DVDs... which are at best bearable on Analog TV's....
He had asked me a lot of ideas abt films and what all he should get and I gave my input but he never bothered to reply back... He even promised to replace my Aradhana DVD but never got back to me with details....

It certainly appears so. But even with this kind of quality they still better than YER and EROS. And he may probably take our ideas too to improve his DVD quality. Give him some time. And how many of us are willing to spend good amount of money for a better quality dvd's except the people from ZULM?

he mentioned about Platinum versions of Sankarabharanam and Sagarasangamam to be too...

:D He sure likes to talk. Good thing is he is accesible to listen to us. I just hope he delivers more DVDs and keeps up the quality.

I was comparing the quality of Santhosham with Shobhodhayam and Saptapadi and felt the video was better on the older ones. Good thing about Santhosham DVD is that it's a fairly new movie, better audio(being a new movie), and it's kool to have an anamorphic DVD which is kind of fool proof for wide screen TVs.

Well how many of us are willing to upgrade to Platinum Editions? It's not going to be easy getting rid of our older versions as there is no market for them on Ebay. Maybe, it can be shrink wrapped to make a gift :kungfu:

Yeah it can be shrink wrapped ..and there are still duffers on ebay who will buy these crap version of classic films...

If Sudhakar is sincerely interested in preserving quality in his DVDs.. he should go back to the SAI DIGITAL BASE days when the dvds were authored in film mode .. Till then I wont be buying any of his DVDs

Looks like he read your comments. Finally, I got him on the phone. Within 20 sec, when he found out that I want only one copy each of ARADHANA and KATI PATANG, he shrugged me off, took my phone # for one of his retailers to get back to me. Never happened.

Never got to discuss good/ bad quality.

rana, check out IndoFilms.com. They have EVP version of ARADHANA and for kati Patang they show EVP cover but in description they mention it as BABA's shite!

I think indofilms.com could be the sole distributors or something for EVP as he is the only one who gets all EVP titles first in Telugu and has all of them in stock always.

Maybe, you should send indofilms an e-mail to confirm the version of those DVDs. Their prices don't look crazy like indiaplaza.
