Only face? Nah, overall, she looks incredible. I'm not really one to care about a woman's bust line, but as far as her body, she's great. She doesn't look anorexic like some Urmillas, nor does she look fat like other Kareenas. I wouldn't call her perfect at all, but she's just plain incredible, almost unhuman.

If you're going to go by TV and off-screen incidents, well, I've seen just about every actress look horrible in those positions, be it Madhuri or Mahima or Karisma or Kareena.

Her personality? Based on what I've seen/read, she seems like a pretty nice person, and she's great at acting (Devdas and HDDCS in particular). And besides, she's not arrogant or rude like Kareena, is she? What do you care about her personality?

Look once again at Aishwarya in Devdas. This may perhaps be a matter of personal taste (being my taste and many others as well), but she looked ten times better than Madhuri did. If you want to start nitpicking, Madhuri was showing her age. That's not to say she wasn't gorgeous, but she didn't look anywhere near Ash's level.

Kaz... if you are asking abt actresses acting wise Only one actress comes in my mind and that happens to be
Nandita Das... and yeah given a chance she could have pulled off that role effortlessly. She is definately a much better actress than Ash ( anytime, anywhere)... However, as I said ppl have a penchant for outer beauty (read fair skin) and Nandita Das doesnt stand a chance in such a scenario..

RNJ age was showing on Madhuri and that is why it even made her more sexy ! Ash was looking rather pale ( watch the dialogues after the Dola Re Dola song... Thats what I would say is vintage Madhuri... I think its been ages since she has mouthed such dialogues... the last film which can come close to these dialogues may be the Anil Kapoor starrer BETA)...
I could feel the words which Madhuri was mouthing during those sequences which goes to show what kinda actress Madhuri is :)
Ash has another major drawback and that is her height !

madhuri is an all time babe even though she is getting older yet more beautiful everyday. Is it me or are the older more senior actresses a lot nicer anyway...........ie

madhuri
rekha
rakhee (in her day)

and my all time fav Nargis, she has class, poise, kept her clothes on and was very feminine - compare her to say, Kareena Kapoor and we talking completely different types of women, both I guess representing the era they're from.....but I know which I prefer

Madhuri was good but she's getting fat and old! And other than Aishwarya who else do we have better than her. Please don't say Amisha Patel...:doze:

I won't argue that Madhuri wasn't absolutely great in Devdas. That's agreed.

As far as Ash's height... she's taller than Madhuri. How is that a major drawback?

I do admire nandita's acting...she is an absolute gem in Bollywood.
But given that she prefers to act in films that are mostly non- commercial, she is hardly recognized by many people...so we really shouldn't compare her with Ash.
they are after all in their own league.... :oops:

Sushmita Sen is damn tall...
Aishwarya's exact height is 5'7.5"

Many sources... Do a search on Google, and the general consensus is that her height is 5'7"

For a more substantiated figures, go to imdb.com and check the heights of popular actresses.

I know some people who've seen Aish is real life and she is around 5'7. But Madhuri is around 5'3.

Aish may have looked better in Devdas cos she's younger and more flexible. But when she's Madhuri's age she would loose it as well. Agree, Madhuri does look more fat and old in Devdas and sags a lil' bit too, but I still think she's a better actress than Aish when you consider all her films, but then again Aish can't act.
