Just saw the trailer of the Agni Varsha and Ek Choti Si Love Story starring Manisha and a 15 year old newcomer who's name is I think Aditya Seal. Looks interesting but Shashilal Nair's movies are usually bad, so I don't want to raise anyone's expectation too much.

Amen to that.....but actually 'one 2 ka four' was pretty slick...until he ran outta steam as usual...quite liked the concept of having a crack team of cops....after all it was a fantasy story...not everything has to be steeped in reality...but somewhere along the way, that went flat too...

apparently his version of 'Deewar', 'Falak' was a decent film...it had Mohan Bhandari and Shekhar Kapur in it...I have not seen it....has anyone here? I doubt if its DVD is available anywhere....

Naaaa, the first half of Bade Miyan chote Miyan was a direct rip of Bad Boys - I do think 1 2 KA 4 was a direct rip of some other Angrezi flick - can't remember which one though.

One 2 Ka 4 is a direct copy of "One Good Cop" with Micheal Keaton and Rene Russo.

Ek Choti Si Love Story, I heard on Zee TV the other day that this film may not be released. There were some nude scenes in it, done by Manisha's body double, but she want the scenes to be cut out completely, whereas the director wants to keep them in. She's threatened to take him to court over it. So the director said he might just

From the scenes I saw, it looks like they copied...or were inspired by an Italian film called Malena. However it is actually a remake of another film - Summer of '42.

What's worse is the director tries to pass it off as original - The two-hour-27-minute film is an experiment, says Nair. "It is a film you have never seen before. I realised all formulae haven't worked, all clichés have failed. So it was time to experiment and wrote this script. I would say it is not something anyone has seen for the last fifty years."

The same director will probably be up in arms when the film gets pirated on VHS & DVD claiming his hard work has been ‘stolen’ and illegally distributed. :sus:
