Lagaan, the Oscar-nominated film from Aamir Khan Productions, is set to hit the American television screens on Tuesday.

Starz Encore Group LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Liberty Media Corporation and one of the largest provider of cable and satellite-delivered premium movie channels in the US, is presenting the American television premiere of the film on Tuesday.

Starz Encore owns 15 domestic channels with approximately 121 million pay units. Starz Encore offers the Starz Super PakSM, with up to 12 digital movie channels, and Starz On DemandSM, the first premium subscription video-on-demand service.

It should be on one of these Starz Encore channels. I don't subscribe to these channels so I wouldn't know which one exactly. And also, doesn't the channel number differ depending on whether it is cable or satellite?

the first show is on the main Starz channel on Aug.16 at 6:45am(E/P) time.
There is also a couple more show this month on the main Starz channel.
Then in the month on October there will be several showing on the Starz Cinema channel. You can check the air dates on the Starz Cinema web site. They will be airing both the full screen version and widscreen version on tv.

One more thing to add, the Starz channel is channel # 350 and 351 , and the Starz Cinema channel is channel 353 and 354 on the Dish network

I can't imagine watching this in pan and scan. I have the DVD, but I hope that the widescreen airing isn't late at night.
