Dugu! Scoring STARS pe STARS! here is one more star! Lols! add them up to give him..5/5 :baaa: ;)

http://www.ebolly.com/reviews/mdk.asp

Movie Review: Mujhse Dosti Karoge

- by Viral Bhayani (eBolly.com)

Starring: Hrithik Roshan, Rani Mukherjee, Kareena Kapoor, and Uday Chopra

Producer - Yash Raj Films

Director - Kunal Kohli

Music - Rahul Sharma

Lyrics - Anand Bakshi

Score: *

Anyways coming to business - this movie is pathetic and could well be the contender for getting the "bore film of the year" award.

A quick note why it sucks: bad story (was there one!), actors fail to create impact as they look as if they have just come to show their faces rather than act and lastly there is no originality as Kunal Kohli has just taken inspiration from various films.

Now Rani is alone so Yash Raj Films sends a superman!! Uday Chopra (Yuck!) to marry Rani but climax scene comes and Hrithik gets back to Rani. Kareena too accepts that fact. Bas ho gaya - the end.

Now if you wanna see this then trouble yourself and waste your 3 hours then go and watch it.

Kareena looks bitchy, miss attitude like she is in real life. Basically her role is like K3G part 2.

Rani looks more sincere here but not so convincing.

Hrithik the heartthrob is finished and it is his mistake to select such faltu films. Such a brilliant actor has wasted his talent on such type of crap films.

Some of the important scenes are treated so badly that it hardly creates that impact which it would have needed.

The songs are very well shot considering Kunal Kohli is a good music video director and a critic himself. But then this dude has made a mockery of this film by turning it into MTV - every five minutes there is one song!

**** BTW! these Guys watched in FREE too!!!

:baaa: ;) :bangbang: :ffs:

i was going to go watch this film today but decide to have a wank instead in back of my car much more satisfying

Thanks for that little bit of info Predator's Awhore

The movie is going to be hit, Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai beat the crap out of those movies (TLOBS, 23 March....) which people here on zulm classify as "substance movies".

Oh please, nobody wants to see a Lagaan every week. Sorry guys, Yash Raj movies MAKE MONEY, people actually go and see those movies. If you have a problem with "typical YRF" movies go watch Devdas again and rave about how great the sets are and the incredible acting by SRK. You guys who feel that way should face the facts, people still want to see love stories, even if you want to see a Company or Kaante......

Geez _rb_ apun ko paagal kutte ne kaata hai :D that I drive all the way to Cinesphere to watch Hrithik ... you enjoy da show and tell us what u felt ( well i know the result anyways :D) As for me joining ya :) thanks but no thanks !

Naven, PM's guys this is a fun filled thread why spoil it with some prejudicial quotes ? We may have our likes and dislikes vis-a-vis artists etc. But there is no reason why we should denigrate someone's choice for a particular actor/actress... (But its upto u folks...) Arsh & I were having a neat time...but..

_rb_ Pls ignore the reviews posted on Sulekha.. They mean nothing and they will deliberately write raving reviews abt the film as the film ads appear prominently on their site.

I still wish someone like Khalid Mohammed (director of FIZA) can give us a decent review of this film ( considering that he worked with Hrithik before)

Yaar naven! _rb! deewani! kuch samajh nahin aata, saara zamaana, kiyon apne Hrithik, ke Khilaf ho gaya! c this one too!hmmmm!!
Believe me, if it would be TARAN/MORAN, I wont give a damn to him..lol!!

The expectations from film critic-turned-director Kunal Kohli’s directorial debut Mujhse Dosti Karoge were very high, but the film simply disappoints. The story is cliched and confusing at the same time. And the dialogues in the film are too corny to bear.

Words like farz, saccha pyar and qurbani are bandied about so many times that they lose their significance.

The entire plot of the film becomes predictable in the first half as the setting of story shifts from idyllic Shimla to urbane London. The narrative flows only till the interval (when Raj discovers truth behind e-mails) and after that it begins to drag. A few inane and ill-placed song sequences follow and further break the story’s flow.

The chief oddity of the film is perhaps the moment when Raj discovers that the girl he has been talking to thorough mails all these years was not Tina but Pooja. Out of the blue he has a change of heart and suddenly begins to feel for Pooja in a ‘different’ way.

The major blow of banality comes in the end when the camera shows pinchful of sindhoor falling on Pooja’s forehead.

Given its attractive starcast Mujhse Dosti Karoge should have turned out to be a potboiler. But the film falls flat due to Kunal’s sloppy and unimaginative direction. Still it is worth a watch for those who dig Hrithik’s nimble-footed dance and Rani’s ‘queenly’ grace.

****Note! one thing, Universal! All Critics, praised, Mukhrjee girl! unanimously in this film! :baaa: ;)

Hey arsh... the bengali (booby) babe (Mukherjee) always wins over the sindhi-punjabi (skinny) babe (Kapoor) {Mom is afterall a sindhi chari who got hooked up with a punjabi chariyo:d} .. I wish Karishma Kapoor had enacted the role which Kareena essayed :)

Dont get me wrong, I am all for "everyone has a right to his/her opinion". But its statements like "Hrithik/the movie is going to be flop", "no one is going to see it", "All the reviews are bad" that doesnt make any sense. I understand you read the reviews and form an opinion, but to pass judgement on a film that opened TODAY?!?

I also understand if you dont like YRF "candyfloss" films, more power to you, go wait for Kaante and book in advance at the ticket window, but just move over so people can buy their tickets for MDK, because people DO like these kind of movies. Critics also dug into Devdas and that is a hit. Then you have people here who havent even SEEN the movie, and making opinions with no base, because they havent even seen the movie!! If you dont believe people want to see movies then explain to me why a movie with substance like TLOBS couldnt compete with MYKSH......?

Naven, its allright for ppl to make judgements abt other films , actors (whether they have seen it or not).. If u remember Predator's Mum has a tendency to say quite a few "verbose" things abt my posts and views... Well initially i used to react to them, but now I dont... he has his rights here to post and if the moderator finds it offensive he will delete it.
The bottom line is everyone is entitled to an opinion, whether it is true or false only time will tell

Don't worry Naven, I used to feel the same about a few posts here too, but like sknath wrote, people are and should be free to write whatever they feel like...if they are absolutely flawed, then try to counter it with proper arguments..whether one can write something is an issue different from whether they are right or wrong..plus if everyone agreed in this world, it sure would be one boring place to live in. The other thing is that we need to make use of our own head when deciding if something is right or wrong..for eg., find a reviewer who consistently is compatible with your taste and take their review a bit more seriously..
