Hopefully DEI will merge with newcomer Cinebella to make some good DVDs.

Maybe their squashed video problem bankrupted them :-)

I believe that is true for me least, usually buy any good movies from DEi but the squash problem made me very selective.

I Hpope Not.
Most of their titles were 4:3 and were/ are best among Indian DVDs available today. We on the zulm, waited almost over one year to debate their squashed video problem in the hope that the squashed problem will be fixed in their new batches, as they promissed. When it didn't happen, as well as, DEI stated that the squashed problem is made up and not real, that we did start that debate constructively.

DEI was the only company that was willing to give us state of the art progressive DVDs, unlike some other companies that release bad prints, on purpose, so as not to affect their theatrical revenues or else may be to save 1 or 2% of the film cost, thus giving inferior DVDs.

I hope DEI personnel resurect themselves with a different name.

have heard from sources that dei have filed bankrupty in usa due to court case filed by eros for approx 5 million us dollars

I was wondering, DEI filed for bankruptcy in US (not world-wide). They or their partners had overseas offices as well. Has anybody checked if their Indian office is still in business.

Just a wishful thought.

I think many ppl have begun to buy into that Jolly bolly fools comments. I have done reverse and forward lookups on the url and it is still working...

Keep hope alive! Maybe DEI isn't isn't dead. Technically, we never saw any news articles or confirmation directly from DEI that they were closing shop.

It is indeed good news if it is true. But some of the important links are not working on the website like ‘Contact us’. May be there are working on them. Dj_Dev9 Who are you? Seems like you know lot about ZULM.net for a member with 3 posts.

Let's hope for the best.

Ali,
If DEI or DEI quality is back again, it's news deserves to be on the main page (also, the title of this thread needs to be changed as well).
