Yes, the DEI version is the one to get, although it is dubbed in Hindi. There is another disc of the Hindi dubbed "Roja" which was released by EVP, I think, but get the DEI disc.

Thanx guys but Michel Hafner's review has put me off the DEI version. Guess I will have to give it a miss, if that is the best version available.

Shah, could you please indicate the web address of mhafner's review for this movie. I couldn't find it.

If you are intrested in Indian movies, this is as good as it gets. Zulm preview @

indicates it to be a very good DVD. Only a minor flaw (squashed anamorphic) which is either un-noticeable or can easily be corrected on the display.

mhafner's reviews should be read, keeping in mind top hollywood DVDs. Among Indian DVDs only 1 or 2 % will make it to the grade and DEI's Roja will be one of them.

...one thing that’s not mentioned the review is this DVD suffer from the infamous DEI video squish syndrome too.

I agree with Rana,
Although I don’t have this dvd I have watched some songs of the movie from the Down Memory Lane dvd. It may not be the best of DEI but nevertheless it occupies a place in the class of top ten 10% of Indian dvd’s in terms of quality.Recommended to buy.
