JKUP had many melodius songs. "Parbat ke peechhay, ik chambay ka gaon, gaon mein do premi rehte hain" is one of them. This movie also starred Yogita Bali.

This was the first or second movie written by Gulshan Nanda who was a craze as a novelist before entering Bollywood. Later he got his knephew/ knephews (they were our neighbours in Delhi) into (Himanshu Nanda) Bollywood as well. I see Himanshu Nanda name in almost every other film credits as publicist.

Rana u are mistaken...

Parbat ke peechey chambela gaon gaon mein do premi rehte hai
Hum to nahi woh deewane jinko deewana log kehte hai

This song is from Mehbooba (Rajesh Khanna & Hema Malini)

If you are talking about Rahul and Himanshu Nanda, then I just thought I would add that Rahul Nanda has written the story for Om Jai Jagdish.

Scanned my VHS tape.
It was a nice sweet romantic movie, typical of Gulshan Nanda story.
It also has Shatrughan Sinha as Eye Doctor.

JKUP has sweet songs, I am not sure if they were that popular.

1) Chal chale ae dil kare chal
Kar kisi ka intzaar, intzaar
Jheel ke us paar
(Mumtaz)

2) mostly lyrics, no repeated lines.

3) Kya nazar kya sitare

Subko hai intzaar
Sub hain bekarar
Tum kub sub dekhogee
(Dharmender)

4) Hai bichhua dus gyo re (Yogeeta Bali)

5) Do Ghoont mujhe bhi pila de re sharabi
Phir dekh hota hai kya.
(Mumtaz)

Good luck to Rahul Nanda for Om Jai Jagdish. I hope he gets the touch of Gulshan Nanda. Gulshan Nanda was the first and only superstar Hindi novel writer (superstar while alive; most writers became famous after death or died broke, too sad). I wonder if anyone else became as popular after Gulshan Nanda. I didn’t keep up with the Hindi novel news after that.

I have the WEG dvd but scared to watch as WEG dvds has a freezing problem..Have seen this movie on the big screen and it was enjoyable.

I guess, present batches are on silver media, but all WEG discs that I rented/ bought recently, all were on Gold media except one. Most likely, you'll be fine.

Even if freezing DVD, you can play the first half without problem and could you please let us know how is the PQ?? Thanks.

Picked up WEG JKUP rental. It was from old stock and hence on Gold media.

Good Pseudo-Progressive. Clear 2-3 pull down.
