Young at heart

Old age is generally synonymous with dullness and boredom. Proving this wrong, these men and women are still pursuing their love for acting despite the health barriers of their age. You will now see them liven up the silver screen on July 12, in Gurudev Bhalla’s Shararat, a film revolving around Ashiyaana – an old age home and its residents. Dealing with the tender issue of children deserting their old parents and leaving them to die in old homes, Shararat claims to be educative yet entertaining. Screen decided to chat up with these artistes, many of whom are making a comeback after many years, and ask them a few questions.

Wait and see, Does not stand any chance against DEVDAS..Postponed for ever, STILL, wrong timings DUDE!!
Abhishek and his SHARARAT would have NEVER FOUND A RIGHT TIME>>SAD!

Do you think there is a chance this movie may get an audience................in the same way that Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai got an audience in between the two Bhagat Singh movies?

Bhaskar the fact is Shararat is a very mature themed subject which I find it difficult for the HIP-HOP desi folks here to accept and hence the answer to your question is an emphatic NO. You forget something Devdas may get a mainstream release also !

Shararat has little chance against Devdas. IMHO Devdas will do well in cinemas as many audiences already know the story of the film and know what to expect. Also curiosity in how present day bollywood handles the classic novel will add to box-office tickets and fans of the excellent score and stars will further increase that.

Shararat is a copy from the Tamil flop Rojavannam, which was a decent film storywise but knowning Junior Bachchan he lacks the acting capabilites of handling such a delicate subject. Also the production values (i've seen from the old promos) and the weak score won't help the film settle too well at the box office.

Watch Devdas on the big screen and watch Shararat on pirate.....oppps I mean on original DVD.

I think Sknath was referring to the commercial success of Devdas since it's a big film...
