Saw it last night.
Sure, it's similar to Three Is Company situation. It's bit more adult than the TV sit-com. (Free Love & Pre-marital relationship is implied but not shown on screen).
Theatre was pretty full and had fair # of non-desi crowd and the theatre burst out laughing often. But, the strange thing was that many in the audience burst out laughing where it was supposed to be dead serious (climax where Saif is trying to propose).
It's basically for modern day teenagers and won't find appreciation in rural India. But, these day's it's the multiplexes where the money is, and this film is aimed at that audience.
- New: Indian Film CC had film run time and not Film length in meters. First time I saw that format.
- Film run time on CC was 2 hrs 26 min and the film screening was 2 hrs 23-24 min (till the end of end credits).

Cocktail had a very good first day as it collected around 10.50-10.75 crore nett on day one. The film was extraordinary in places like Mumbai city, Delhi city, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Pune and Bangalore.
The occupancies at multiplexes were fantastic and on par with any release in the last year but it did not have the screens at multiplexes of a Agneepath or Bodyguard. The single screen business was average and the release in single screens was also limited as Bol Bachchan retained the best single screens across the country.
Cocktail is the first film that has gone over 10 crore nett first day without a major contribution from single screens. Rockstar last year was just below 10 crore nett.
