Really looking forward to this - Parineeti Chopra stole the show in Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl, and I loved Habib Faisal's Do Dooni Chaar. Hopefully it won't disappoint.

Arjun Kapoor has a collection of 7500 DVDs
16 April 2012

The actor is a huge movie buff and is known to be watching one film a day.

Boney Kapoor's son and Sonam Kapoor's cousin Arjun Kapoor, is all set to make his debut with YRF's Ishaqzaade this May. The handsome hunk that you see in the film's trailer wasn't always like this. A few years back, Arjun Kapoor was a roly-poly boy weighing 140 kgs. Of course the boy worked extra hard to look how he does today. But perhaps this could be the reason why Arjun Kapoor was a couch potato.

Apparently Arjun is a big movie buff (a step above the regular lot) and has a collection of 7500 DVDs at his house. A close friend of Arjun says, "While most people love to party and chill, this Kapoor lad is a little different. He loves watching movies. When you walk into his room, what catches your eye is the huge collection of DVD's that he has. All alphabetically arranged like you see in a library. From romantic films to comedy to actions - he has all of them. Some of them even in foreign languages. He is a huge movie buff and from years has been watching one film a day."

Confirms the spokesperson of Ishaqzaade, "Arjun loves watching films and has a huge collection of DVD's. More than 7500 to be precise!"

Not showing in Toronto either. Couldn't find any listing in US/ Canada at the Cinemaclock.com website.

Perhaps, did not release in US, Canada, UK theatres.

Ishaqzaade Has Good First Weekend
14 May 2012

Ishaqzaade has had a good first weekend as it grossed around 15.50 crore nett as per early estimates over its first weekend. The film has fared very well in UP with a big jump on Sunday at all centres in the state.

The approx breakdowns for the film are 4.50 crore nett on Friday, 5.15 crore nett on Saturday and Sunday is set to to come in around the 6 crore nett region.

Ishaqzaade has done well all across with even single screens having very good collections for a new star cast film. Infact the single screen performance of the film is probably better than multiplexes.

The film is a winner and the weekend trending suggests that collections on Monday should hold up well.

Ishaqzaade Has Good Second Weekend
21 May 2012

Ishaqzaade had a good second weekend as it grossed 7.25 crore nett plus to take its ten day total to over 32.50 crore nett. The film sustained very well in Delhi/UP with business of around 1.90 crore nett.

The business of the film is similar to the lifetime business of Ladies vs Ricky Bahl in just ten days and with no major competition from Hindi films this week it should have another good week at the box office till the release of Rowdy Rathore.

Ishaqzaade is looking at lifetime business of around 42-45 crore nett which would be a very good total.

Ishaqzaade Continues Excellent Run In Week Three
25 May 2012

Ishaqzaade continued its great run in week three with rock steady collections. Delhi/UP grossed nearly 30 lakhs nett which is less than 50% drop from last week.

The collections on its third Friday should come in around 1 crore nett, if Mumbai circuit collections come in as strong as Delhi/UP, it may even be over 1 crore nett.

The way the film is performing it may even hit the 45 crore nett mark by the end of the third week or at least be very close it. Ishaqzaade and Vicky Donor are the only mainstream Hindi films which are still doing well while others like Department, Tezz and Jannat 2 have all faded away.

'Ishaqzaade' is a SUPER HIT
14 June 2012

'Ishaqzaade' has been a surprise success of the year, as the film is doing great business in its terminating weeks. The collections were expected to drop by a huge amount upon release of 'Rowdy Rathore'.

But, the drop was lesser than expected which is good actually. The collections in the 4th Week were 1.40 crores, and the 5th week came at 80 Lakhs. The total collections till now are 46.5 crores net.

This is a brilliant figure for a small budget film, and it is more than enough to declare 'Ishaqzaade'
SUPER HIT. This film was a matter of great pride for YRF, and seeing the past few success, and the magnitude of releases lined up, it can be said that the time is good for Yash Raj Films.
