Mahesh Bhatt: I wanted to call BLOOD MONEY as KALYUG 216 March 2012
Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, at a recent event, divulged the fact that he initially wanted to name the upcoming release BLOOD MONEY as KALYUG 2. However, it somehow didn’t work as actor Kunal Khemu and director Vishal Mahadkar declined his suggestion.
Reveals Bhatt, “I wanted to call this film (BLOOD MONEY) as KALYUG 2. But, it was Kunal and Vishal Mahadkar who wanted an original title for this film.â€
The filmmaker further adds, “The film remotely resembles the kind of structure of KALYUG, which lock horns with the porn industry. While, this (BLOOD MONEY) has the story of a young man locking horns with the diamond mafia. But that doesn't mean that we can call the product as a franchise of the one that has worked. So, we shopped around to look for the apt title. And finally one day that 'Aah!' moment came and we finalized the title.â€
Vishesh Films and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures' BLOOD MONEY, starring Kunal Khemu and Amrita Puri, is set to release on 30th March, 2012.
