Udaan is easily the best hindi film that I've seen from 2010. The film's innocence is it's charming point, every single moment of it's 2 hour duration had me absorbed. While I'm thrilled that even with the high expectations before hand of watching this film, it delivers, at the same time, it's depressing that it's these kind of films that are hard to come by with now a days. Sincerely, it's a film like this that one holds close to their heart.

Have you seen 'Khosla Ka Ghosla'? I know it's a much older film, but I very highly recommend it, just in case you have not seen it.

Yep seen it, didn't realize it was from the same director as Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! even after a quick glance on imdb which lists the first movie as "Khosla's Nest" - just didn't click it was Khosla Ka Ghosla! Definitely will keep an eye on Dibakar Banerjee films.

Watched Udaan - very good movie although thought the ending was a bit meh!

I very much liked the film's ending, it wasn't forced, giving the film an intuitive feel.

Udaan is not out on blu-ray and I seriously doubt that it will be. But, the UTV DVD is really quite good (no watermarks) and I would rate the movie as a must watch.

'No One Killed Jessica" is garnering very good reviews around here.

Thanks Sanjay,

I saw trailer. I was impressed with vidyaa deglamorized portray very authentic . As I am not familiar with back ground of story so authenticity , I can't comment upon.
Just watched guzaarish, found boring, bland and mundane at times just too stylistic only, not faithfully sensitive to this sensitive subject . Darn , hrtitjik, by hook or crook had to break in gay like dancing for no reason.

I just watched on tele an old flick of Steve Martin , our fav comedian called mix nuts. Lol it was lovely film with out all trash added by priya , farah khan etc etc ....

In my opinion these goons taking over has brought good comedy down to oblivion :(

Just saw a list of Filmfare Award Nominations.

I haven't seen Udaan, Band Baaja Baraat (and another film that I don't even remember if I saw it or not), and from the rest, I can't even imagine which film or who might get the award as none of them is worthy IMHO (don't care about Munni or Sheela). Normally it has been other way around where there are more than one that are worthy of awards or the ones that I would like them to win.

(I liked Prince for its entertainment value and for its songs but it got no nominations).

Dude don't get me started on no problem. 2.5 hrs of high production cost torture making look farah khan etc as professors of film making over bazmi.

Of course a lot of beach and bikini glamor thrown in from all different sides and angles you could do:(

OK, now i'm angry

Is this a joke? Ajay Devgan's very BAD in the shit stinker OUATIM. He obviously made no effort at all and
gave us his tired formula masala overacting instead. But he can do it, and with a director with some brains,
he will also do it (if threatened or coaxed) just look at him in RGV's Company.
If these Filmfare board incompetents just whould take a watch at Satya and JD Chakravorthy's performance
before nominating any gangster-portraying actors

Ranbir Kapoor? RANBIR KAPOOR?
Isn't that the goodlooking imbecile that gave one of the worst performances ever, in the history of Bollywood
Cinema, in the STINKEROO Saawariya (the visulas looked fine though) along with that bowel movement of a
celebrity non-talented girl? He was also obnoxious in the terrible terrible unfunny idiot comedy Ajab prem ki....

Film Fare Awards nomin.: Where's Boman Irani in Well Done Abba? And if the board wants a good looking young guy?
Why not choose Ali Zafar inst. of Ranbir Kapoor. Tere Bin Laden was 1000 times funnier and smarter than Ajab..
and Ali actually WAS funny also

Abbas Tyrewala's Jhootha Hi Sahi should rank amongst the better Hindi films of 2010. It isn't a great film by any means, but I still liked it more than I kind of suspected I would. It's a romantic comedy. Yeah. But it's whole lot of fun. You'll find more chemistry between to two main leads in this film than in Johar's white-elephant. Towards the end, the film seems to go a little haywire, tacking on superfluous, increasingly anticlimactic would-be endings, but, hey, what can you do?
