They have it up for pre-order for $29.99. What is wrong with this store. They used to have good prices but no longer.

I was also one of the uninformed ones who happened to note that Indiaplaza (and its prices) were the best available on the net, until one day last year, Bludhound (whom I know from my Napster days) told me abt Indiaweekly.com and also abt Zulm and since then its been a totally different story !

That site is a SHIT ASS wanker site which must be avoided by all and sundry ! Never buy anything from them and also tell your friends to avoid them. However there are a few die hard folks here (you know who you are shit a*****) who will still keep on badmouthing any site that sells DVDs at a lesser price than them

Actually, I did find a couple of good deals on Indiaplaza a while ago when I got Andaz Apna Apna and Daud for $8.99 each shipped. Ofcourse nothing compares to Indiaweekly, for which I saw an ad in the newspaper even before I arrived at zulm.

I find this hard to believe that indiaplaza is selling the Devdas DVD already as pre-sale it could be months before the actual DVD is released? They just want to lock up your $, that is just terrible integrity on their part. They say it's going to be EROS.

(PS this is my first post. I have been reading for months.)

Pre-ordering is common with Hollywood releases, but they usually include some special features and a lower price for preordering. $29.99 may be a good preorder deal for a 3 disc set, for one disc with a poor transfer and no extras is a bad deal. Even if they bundle it with the "Curtain Raiser" disc it is still bad. Why should I preorder it at $30 when I know I can find it for less when it is released?

So is there any offical release "DATE". I know it's the second week of August but what day is it meant to be released????

Unless Eros does something radically different, the songs on the Curtain Raiser
DVD show the quality of the final Devdas DVD is going to look;











..these are the type of sources Eros have used in the past. It's non-anamorphic but the final DVD they'll make artificially anamorphic from the same source. This is how they've released DVDs recently. What are the chances they will do things differently for this DVD?
