Anyone know when KANK's release date is? Is it even expected to play much longer in theaters?

It's out on the 16th of October according to Play.com.

The BBFC have the DVD listed as running 184 minutes long, so either 8 minutes has been edited (unlikely) or we can expect another PAL-to-NTSC 'treat'.

a pirated version with (reasonably) good picture and sound quality has just released here in London.

it has very badly designed, simple menus (the main menu has a wallpaper with a crease in the middle in between amitabh's face and his clothes!!!! ) and even the picture quality is not consistent (robotic movements in quite a few places)

its very much similar to that pirated version of Fanaa (progressive transfer) which was being sold as original

it has the Yashraj warning/FBI sign at the beginning and even has a set-up menu offering multiple language subtitles and 2 audio tracks (5.1 and 2 channel Stereo)

funnily, in the actual DVD, theres only 1 audio track (2 Channel stereo  )

Folks, it may make sense to upload and share bootleg screenshots for rare and unavailable versions -- and perhaps even for those movies destroyed by the dvd brands owning the license -- for example if shemaroo cropped a movie, may make sense to show the uncropped bootleg, or if someone found the Sholay qawalli on a bootleg Sholay, that would perhaps make sense too... but why do we need to share bootleg shots of dvds that are yet to come, and which we know would be available soon ;-)

Maybe people don’t know if this DVD is yet to come or already out. These pirates are sold in shops all around claming that they are legit DVDs with so and so ‘excellent picture quality’ claims, at least those who want to know can see for them selves if the quality is up to what they expect or not.
