are they seriously releasing this so soon? i doubt the corrections of sound have been made...waste of money if you ask me. if the makers were smart, they would re-dub and release it. what a joke.

Man, even the DVD is a rushed, "no-name company" release. What the hell happened with this Bachchan-Santoshi(-Kumar) film? It's like a nightmare of a release.

It's like a nightmare of a release.

These nightmares will be a norm now. My DVD rental store says, now most new film DVDs will be made in India. There have been many recent releases, most of which were by ADLABS, like this one, and are PAL to NTSC converted field averaged.

I can't confirm it, but I think it's the only logical conclusion. It would make sense that it might have the ADR-work done, if it were being released in some months. The theatrical release was partly "un-dubbed" because Amitabh Bachchan was unable to do his lines over; he's still sick: I doubt very much that he went ahead and did it for the DVD release, so soon. As far as this DVD is concerned, I'd recommend that no one imagine it in any way will improve upon the film's theatrical release.

I agree that that second clip is not Amitabh Bachchan's voice, but I recognize that the scene in the "goonda gathering" one. In the theater, the voice didn't sound like that; it sounded like Amitabh Bachchan. Maybe I don't remember correctly, or maybe there are two "versions" out there; with Hindi films, you really do never know. :)
