this movie is directed by Chakravarthy, and not Varma. is this the same exact film as My Wife's Murder?

atleast stereo! no way it didn't have digital surround! you think RGV would've gone cheap for it?? it's already low budget. :ffs:

Sorry - I can't read Telugu (I'm a Bengali through and through), read on the net somewhere that the film is directed by Verma.

Anyhoo, the film isn't exactly the same as My Wife's Murder - I believe Anil Kapoor kills his wife by mistake in the Hindi version, whereas in this one, Chakravarthy kills his wife deliberately. I believe they made both versions in Hindi and were gonna release them, but after this sparked protests down south, they scrapped the Jaan Bujhke version.

This is an anamorphic DVD - took the shots in Power Cinema, it doesn't look stretched when I view it on my DVD player/computer - the screenshots might be screwed though - I can check the settings if you tell me how :)

I can't read Telugu either. But I read somewhere that RGV didn't direct it, but Chakravarthy did. just used RGV's name to promote the film. I just watched the trailer of Madhyanam Hatyam, and it looks nothing like My Wife's Murder. It looks really good though! Shame on the DVD :(

I'm not familiar with Power Cinema. Just look at all the setttings :P

Stay away from Madhyanapu Hatya. The direction is horrible. It is indeed a similar story to My Wifes Murder (the second version). RGV supposedly produced the film just to humor his friend JD Chakaravarthy

I agree with Jag - the overall film was just dire to sit through. Can't understand the fuss over this film.
