There seems to be a third version of Madhumati available by a company called Entertainment One.

http://www.musichouseltd.co.uk/shop/pro ... 4283c133f4

I've seen this version on sale in HMV and Virgin in the UK ... but have never seen it at any desi shops!

I have both the YRF and Shemaroo versions ... both are trash as far as I am concerned. After seeing a very good quality projection from the original film of Madhumati last year at the National Film Theatre I can't bear watching these DVDs. I doubt that the Entertainment One DVD is any good - probably just a re-hash of the YRFs version ... or maybe the SKY version (was this ever released by SKY?)

The Shemaroo shots have been captured incorrectly. The brightness seems to have been increased.

As per reports, Bimal Roy films are being restored by a film institute in Pune, India.

I think Devdas and Do Bigha Zameen are ready.

Hopefully these get proper Blu Ray treatment and if it is shemaroo, DONT USE YOUR WATERMARK!
