Just got a DVD of Yuva and the quality was so poor. All the colour correction was wrong. I don't think Mani Ratnam is gonna be pleased when he sees this DVD and trust me...he will

Meanwhile work on the Tamil version will begin next month.

That's a terrible looking DVD. Looks like I can never watch it properly. The theatre I watched it at was inside a university with horrible projection and the absolute worst analogue surround system I have ever encountered in my life. Distorted and without a subwoofer. The worst part is the management adverstised it as 'DTS that will give you full justice on the stunning work of Maniratnam/Rahman...blah blah'.

Typical Indian bullshit.

I also watched the dvd. The PQ is horrible. Everytime the camera pans the picture blurs. Its very dark with over saturated colors. I've seen this film at theater and it was very crisp and shots were very beautiful. Some of the scenes on this dvd will cause Maniratnam another heart attack.

One postive note, the 5.1 track is very aggressive with tons of bass. And you dont expect anything less than that from a H.Sridhar mix.

Even with the bad dvd I really enjoyed film the second time around. Anyone catched the scene were Vivek Oberoi gets run over by the motorbike. I'm surprised they left that scene intact till the camera drops down.
