With VHS populariy, Indian Film Theatrical Screenings in North America collapsed. A few yrs later, theatrical screenings of Indian Films became popular again. Do you remember, which film was it that revived Theatical Screenings in your city??

In Toronto, it was Feroz Khan's YALGAR. It was shown in a Hotel Auditorium and had a successful run of many weeks.

Which Films Revived Theatrical Screenings in other cities??

I was in India at the time of VHS popularity. I saw the theatres housefull in 1988/89 for following movies.

QSQT, Tezaab, Khoon Bhari Mang, Maine Pyar Kiya & Chandni

I am talking about a town (and not a major city) and each of these movies screened for more than 15 weeks.

Rana, are you talking about that hotel by the airport in Toronto? I saw Paramapara there in 1993.

I think the first few films to be shown at cinemas here in the UK were films like Khalnayak and Baazigar.

I think it was at the International Hotel on Dixon Rd in Etobicoke (Dixon becomes airport rd). It was the last showing of Parampara there in May/93. I think the worst movie I have seen on the bigscreen was Guddu...and probably Bal Bramachari. Those were pretty poor.
