I've heard several times that this movie has an excellent DVD release by DEI/BEI. Can someone post screenshots? Image
(I tried to find them on the forum..Image)

Actually, the reviews just shied away from declaring it, as good as or better than HDDCS.

Agree with the excellent quality of the DEI version of Hum Saath Saath Hain but what should I do that my DEI version of the dvd freezes from the middle of the ABCDEFG song and is unplayable after that. But the first half of the movie has excellent audio/video. :bangbang: :nopity:

Simple.
Should buy it in the good old days when DEI DVDs were in Good Old Gold media. :D
Only Time Machine Can Help.

I bought HSSH recently, about couple months ago, and the media is gold/silver mixed. I haven't had any problems yet, but it's not the original DEI one, it has their new BEI logo and intro, etc. I got it from nehaflix, btw.

It was deliberate.

Q was what should he do.
A was should buy in the time gone by.
:D

I wish, we can go back in the past and start getting that quality media as well as quality encodings.
Need Time Machine.

Use your Jantar Mantar!
Progressive or Interlace? :D To transfer in time would you recommend NTSC telecine from film or PAL to NTSC :D

Looks like, Ali succeeded in making one. But, only a few hours back and forth.

It seems like interlaced. Time moves forward and in the next viewing, it goes back, by a few hours only, so far. :)

Thanks for the incredible advice! :P Previously, I did not care about quality and owned several pirates and the Videosound version of HSSH. Then, I came to zulm.net and learnt so much from you that I started to care about quality. So, I gave away my Videosound version and ordered the DEI version. I too wish I could go back in the Time Machine and get myself legitimate DEI dvds instead of the replicated versions that I received.

In the meantime, I plan to write to BEI and see what happens. Not holding my breath for anything to happen, though.

Why go back in time:

I bought Shemaroo Pirate Mughl-e Azam for $ 12 some time ago.

Later I bought Genuine Shemaroo official release for $ 20.

Guess what, pirate is on Gold media and Official one is on Silver.

Rana

BTW, best bet to scoop up Gold media DVDs is to go to expensive and not so popular shops where they still might have some old stock. Quite a few not so popular films that I picked up recently, turned up on Gold media. Must have been old stock.

If we, customers, keep insisting on Gold media and buy only if disc is on Gold, will the DVD makers pay some attention to it.
