Great songs in AA GALE LAG JAA.....the only other time Manmohan Desai and pancham worked together was in RAMPUR KA LAKSHMAN.....wonderful music there too...wonder why MKD shifted to LP after RD gave such wonderful music for him in these 2 movies....

Arsh, I will search for your CHARAS and post screenshots if appropriate. I think there is sometimes a difference in expectations, as for instance, AA GALE LAG JAA seems quite nice on my TV, but I think you probably didn't like it. Its no where as a good as BEI but considering its SKY, its not bad. I am posting BOMBAY 405 MILES next, let me know what you think?

Aarkayne, I don't know much about RAAMPUR KA LAKSHMAN. I seem to have avoided anything with Randhir Kapoor. He was such a bore, after Shatrughan Sinha, that is! Maybe Manmohan Desai wanted the heavy orchestra effect, prevalent with Laxmikant-Pyarelal's music, for his Bachchan movies, and R D Burman's music is a bit soft and romantic...

U know, I dont expect much from these companies, much, so if any thing turns out to be a bit decent, it is a real bonus, but if i remember, Charas was Bad!!

Your screenshots of CHARAS are awful... but it doesn't appear that bad when I watch it on TV, its certainly better than BAGHAVAT. Perhaps Ramanand Sagar's ARZOO or LALKAAR are better?

Typical (awful screenshots- better on TV) of Field Averaged encodings.

Rana

BTW, what's the CHARAS and Aa Gale Lag Ja connection?? Are both Ramanand Sagar Films??

NO NO

CHARAS is Ramanand Sagar's, as is BAGHAVAT, ANKHEN, LALKAAR and the very classic ARZOO.

AA GALE LAG JAA is none other then the Bachchan specialist: Manmohan Desai!

I think Arsh just bought up the topic of CHARAS in this thread... :D

I don't mind - feel free to chat about anything... as long as its decent for the under 18s...! :D

Is the Ramanand Sagar's label linked to Sky? Suppose that would create a connection as AA GALE LAG JAA is released by Sky...

So far my AA GALE LAG JAA appears to work fine, but I am concerned that it may rot. As I like the print, I should really copy it onto another disc, but thats a bit technical. I wonder if a recordable dvd player would be able copy a pre-recorded dvd onto a blank one, and copy the menu options too....
