hope you dont mind me posting... i haven't seen this DVD.. but i believe it's enough to say that the DVD is released by BABA DIGITAL... these folks never got the education of what it means by DIGITAL, correct me anyone if i am wrong.

there may be few people who were amazed by their quality on selected DVDs (so i hear).. But majority is a thumbs down!!

I suggested one time to SD to do that!

This is A CLASSIC and DVD will be a CLASSIC, as I always QUOTED!! If MIRZA GHALIB will come alive, he too,will PREFER< NASEER u DIN SHAH, over him!! too!!

But the MIRZA GHALIB DVD available on BABA DIGITAL is different from the DVd i have seen on pakwebstore.com .
I have seen this drama long long time ago on TV and i still remember the drama so i think must buy it .

You are (my bad) right it's different cover than BABA, it is released by some "VIDEO TRACK"... Anyone have any DVD under this label.. how is the quality...

I am sure it would not be worse than BABA (keeping my fingers crossed).. 2 DVD set $16.99 (worldwide shipping included)

i just checked this DVD on cdstore.com.pk . this set also available there but its with subtitle and with the same cover .
but i have already ordered it from pakwebstore.com . will upoad the screen shots soon .

This is the play that Naseerudin Shah acted in. I had bought the VCD for this a long time ago and still have not managed to see it. I think it was like a 4 or 6 VCD set. My friend borrowed it form me and said that the print was pretty crappy.

Just FYI. THe VCD was from Video Track too.

Pretty crap quality! <s>Sourced from a VHS, along with bad tracking marks</s> Looks dull and washed out with really bad compression.

Details on the discs. First is a dual layered DVD which has about 430 minutes of video compressed with a ~3.4Mb/sec average bit rate - looks pretty much awful - like a VCD stretch to fit DVD resolution - pixilation galore. The second DVD is an single layered disc that has about 143 minutes of video compressed using an average bit rate of 2.5Mb/sec - only half the disc is used ??? :bangbang:

Audio is pseudo 5.1 and there are no subtitles! Pretty dismal DVD set if you ask me.

Oh yeh, forget to mention - no chapter selection for this lengthy drama :bangbang: :ffs: There is a song selection of 16 stops on the first DVD and a 6 songs selection menu on the second.

wasnt a VHS available of this by T-Series a while ago...also of bad quality....

A good question to ask Gulzar saab at the online chat (Dec 7 in Mumbai) when a decent version will be made available to his fans....as also when would a release of LIBAAS be forthcoming......

I have the VCD of this great epic, I just have to look for it and it was produced by(I think) Ultra Video CD and yes, it looks pretty much the same as the VCD transfer going by ali's screenshots here.

Hello folks,

Anyone know if this MIRZA GHALIB DVD available anywhere on the web. Apparently http://www.pakwebstore.com doesn't carry it anymore. I know of someone who would appreciate this DVD, was going to suggest pakweb, but couldn't locate the dvd in the catalogue.
