The picture has a couple of problems but the grain effect is intentional as I saw the same on the cinema. Also the DTS sound really packs a punch. You can't compare the sound to Monsoon Wedding as both used various ways to mixing. Monsoon used live sound and Bala used ADR/FOLEY/Non live sound.

BALA is really good and the DTS bit rate is quite high. The songs are actually better then the CD!

The picture quality did seem to be quite grainy.........otherwise a typical Ayngaran DVD.

As for the DTS sound.....well, I haven't seen too many DTS DVDs (Monsoon Wedding included), so can't really compare!! However, it is way better than most DD5.1 tracks I've heard. The DTS track sounded great especially in the action scenes.

As for the movie......boring. Typical revenge story - nothing at all special here. Best bet is to rent it like I did!

I remember sometime back about Ayngaran putting their logo on the video. Have they decided to go back to the old logo-less format? If so, which all Ayngaran DVDs have the logo imprinted?

Thanks, Chaver.
