Hey all, the movie just got released by Video Sound on DVD. The film has anamorphic video (about 2.20:1), 5.1 Sound, Eng Subs and trailers for the Sonu Nigam/Juhi Babbar movie.

I've got some screenshots ready (just got a DVD rom recently) so I'm sending them to Ali now. Expect em soon.

From the looks of it, the colours are pretty good, and sharpness is ok. Looks like its a bit more decent than the usual Eros/VS crap - now lets see how long this disc lasts!

What's the disc media like on this? Are Video Sound keeping their promise to use better media discs (like that on KHDBB) or have they reverted back to silver cheapo media?

hi ali, k i'm looking at the About a Boy R1 DVD and that is kinda gold coloured, and when I look at Kucch to Hai, the media looks to be about the same coloured.

The colour is kinda gold, I'm guessing that this is the better quality media.

Well at least that something VS can be applauded for - their media usage before was one the poorest. KHDBB DVD has gone around the neighbourhood a few times :oh: and is still playing – so signs are good for media retention with these VS releases.

Sad! This scene is an exact copy of the scene where Jennifer Love Hewitt went to get an electrical tan in ISKWYDLS!

Bollywood's craving for copying is crazy! Even Sanjay Gupta stole Britney Spears' video "I'm a Slave 4 U" in Ishq Samundar, where you'll notice some similarities.

GREAT DVD! Nice images, just hope the movie is good enough!

mhafner, i used the instructions Ali posted to make the caps. All the settings are "correct". As for compression, I first converted the bmp files to jpeg, then reduced the size to 80%.

However the pics still reflect the same quality of video as they appear on my computer monitor. When I watched the film on my TV (53" interlaced, with anamorphic squeeze), the print looked a little worse (somewhat less sharper), but still very good when compared to other Eros/VS dvds. And the colours were still very vibrant. The 5.1 sound was excellent - especially during "Tere Pyar Mein". -

The movie was quite fun by the way - even though I HATE Tusshar. That new girl is hot and her main song was just INCREDIBLE!!!
