OK zoran :-)

I've noticed that Disney DVDs of UTV films in India are definitely done better than what UTV was doing itself on UTV DVDs in India and/or Moserbaer in India.

Seems to look just as crappy as it did in the theater. By the way I watched 'Rajneeti' with digital projection in the theater and it had looked horrible. Almost like watching a poor quality Hindi DVD.

Yes, if it is HD then it will be only 2 channel audio as Netflix is still testing the purposed HD audio and 5.1 audio releases. I will be watching the Netflix streaming of Raajneeti this weekend. What I posted here was what I read via Blu-Ray.com on the PQ of the Netflix Streaming of Raajneeti.

in what way is this a letdown by disney?

the disney dvd seems very true to theatrical colours, etc. (see sanjay's post above -- the theatrical movie itself looked a certain way, and disney dvd seems to have brought in that very look.)

plus, thankfully, the disney dvd is uncropped, and there are no irritating logos on the video. the dolby digital 5.1 and stereo 2.0 tracks are pretty good!

I was comparing it against the Netflix streaming of Raajneeti for which it seems Netflix has used the UTV Blu-Ray for making the streaming feed.

But u know brother , no 5.1 high def audio makes it only half or 1/3 good though:(. I won't even watch free with my trial lol . A bit more patience though it is hard to wait now:(

for those interested

Disney have released a 2-DVD version of RAAJNEETI as well. The second disc seems to have 25 minutes of deleted scenes and other extras. Price would be higher.

I don't know if it's just the screenshots, but the picture doesn't appear to be particularly sharp.
