'Garv - Pride & Honour' marks the directorial debut of Puneet Issar, the personality who is remembered for his strong portrayal of the character of Duryodhan in B.R.Chopra's epic tele-series 'Mahabharat'. The film brings together the dynamic pair of real life brothers Salman Khan and Arbaaz Khan, onscreen for the third time (after Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya and Hello Brother).GARV revolves around the life and times of officers in the Mumbai Police Force. Spearheaded by Samar Singh (Amrish Puri), Arjun Ranawat (Salman Khan) and Hyder Ali (Arbaaz Khan), it also involves their 'Special Task Force Team'.

In a city where corruption has become the order of the day and ethics a thing of the past, Arjun Ranawat and Hyder Ali, under the spirited guidance of Samar Singh, take up cudgels against the underworld and defy the dictates of the prescribed line of law, thus eliminating several of the 'wanted', under the line of fire. This result in creating a panic like situation for powerful people connected, not only to the power-center of Mumbai, but even beyond the national boundaries, resulting in a high tension, action packed drama.

At the same time, Arjun Ranawat has a family crisis. His mother (Farida Jalal) and innocent sister (Akanksha) are targeted as a measure of revenge by the opposition. This is the last straw for Arjun. He becomes a law unto himself!

Shilpa Shetty, whose character is madly in love with Arjun Ranawat, provides the love element. Anupam Kher, Mukesh Rishi, Govind Namdeo, Anant Jogue, Mohan Joshi, Steven Fernandes and Hemant Birje head the list of the 'tough ones' besides several others, who form part of the huge star-cast assembled.Music

Anu Malik has composed 2 electrifying songs, which includes an Arabic item number “Marhaba Marhaba” stunningly picturized on the sensational dancer Reshma Bombaywala (the girl who sizzled in the Shehri Babu remix video). Sajid-Wajid have composed the remaining 3 tracks which include a tapori number 'Khaya peeya kuch nahin glass thoda barah aana' and “Soniya Tu Soni” that promises to be a rage in the north for it's Punjabi flavor. Their compositions will do more than justice to the dancing prowess of Shilpa Shetty

I remember when I saw it in the cinema, most of it was cut and when I saw it on DVD (Spark) some scenes where still missing. Some of the small scenes like when they are doing the encounter operation a few gangsters come to kill a builder and Salman ends up killing them. A few other quick scenes.
