UL do you still have that DVD? If so can you tell me what is written on the inner ring? Mine is dead and has " 30 layer 1" written on the inner ring . The funny thing is the gold layer started to bubble and peel from the inner ring! : :? I had bought this about four years ago from DV4Uonline.com

The disc does say 30 Layer 1 as mentioned James (see below pic) the rest is burnt/scratched out. BTW this disc is not mine but a rental from the local library.

Thank you U L! Those are the bubbles I am talking about! Ironically the blisters are exactly in the same spot as mine (and spreads out more into the encoded part) but in the form of bubbles and not sracthed out. Bummer! I'll remember to keep my insert!

Can you not tell from the screen shots it's wide screen? ~1.85 non-anamorphic wide screen, probably cropped from wider scope like ~2.35

Quote:
4. Return discs to their plastic cases immediately after use.
5. Store discs upright (book style) in their cases.
6. Store discs in a cool, dry, dark place with clean air.

If we are to take the above seriously, then I am afraid I may have contributed to the death of this DVD. I normally do watch a DVD in it's entirety in a single viewing but occaisonally I will leave the disk in the player for a few days. Since a plugged in DVD player will generate some degree of heat its bound take it's toll. Secondly, the amount of DVDs I have if stored in an upright position I will run out of storage space! Lastly, I store mine in an air tight cabinet where the degrees inside fluctuates according to the temperatures of the seasons! :P What are we to do? :?
