Screen shots looked borked :lol: (a problem with capturing with VLC I've noticed on certain anamorphic DVDs) - I'll correct them in a bit. There's also an old Alibaba DVD thread on the old forums;

I think this Alibaba DEI DVD was one of the very few anamorphic DVDs DEI got the AR nearly right, without their troublesome squished problem. I say nearly right as the splice problem was still on this DVD - if that was properly matted then this would have been the perfect 2.35:1 AR video.

Is this a new release? If not, does anyone know if DEI has released anything in the past six months?

This is an old DVD released around June 2001 - I don't think DEI/BEI exist any more, not seen anything from them recently.

DEI is way better than the shemaroo version, probably the best release of an old film ever,can't understand why shemaroo have to crop their prints so much
