True -- way better than the two prequels -- in fact, the Africa scenes of the possessed boy were done far better in E2 than in the two prequels. Also, "Dominion" (the prequel shot but not released theatrically) keeps the story of E2 intact while "Exorcist The Beginning" (the prequel released theatrically) deviates from E2 introducing gaping plot holes in the series and is utter trash. Dominion is the better of the two.

Again, you'll find a whole bunch of people who loved Exorcist (the original) and are fans, and you'll find people like Ali bhai who slept through

Exorcist 2 - again the same -- some people trash it, some are fans...
And this is the normal pattern for any movie I guess... AAG seems to the only exception where no one wants to be called its fan (the 10 year old liked it... hmmm)
NewDeep,
I saw I just saw Exorcist 2 again (on cable) and have to say that it's not as bad as I had originally thought. You're right about how it ties in well with Dominion and although nowhere near as good as the original, it's miles ahead of Aag. But one thing I noticed was that the theme tune to Exorcist 2 was copied by a Bollywood film (Pyaar tune kya kiya) as the title song. That takes quite some talent to copy the theme tune of an American horror film and turn it into a bollywood love song!
Since this thread is about Aag, I should say something about it. I saw the Adlabs DVD on sale today, so it was released in the end! I really don't know who's gonna buy it, but in a strange sort of way I felt like seeing it again, just once, just to have a good laugh. It could become over time one of those "so bad, it's good" kind of films, but I wouldn't bet on it.
