There was another Hindi version of Thumbi Vaa called Sunday Tho from Aur Ek Prem Kahani. The main tune of Mere Paa is from a song from Kaatu Vazhi from the Tamil film Adhu Oru Kana Kalam.

PAA turned out to be a good hit. i have noticed few ppl using the theme music as caller tune and ring tone. Seeing this on Top in Planet M with Rs 160 price tag!! Huge anticipation. I am going on 1st Day (actually 2nd day).

The film was really cute, no resemblance to Benjamin Button what so ever. Never seen Robin Williams' "Jack", might be inspired by that instead.

I think the movie is two hours. Yes, you can watch with the family. Not sure how conservative your family is. There is a scene which is not family friendly due to a very mild discussion about condoms, other than that, it's for the whole family! if your kids don't know what a condom is, go for it

One of my pakistani friends went to go watch it with her parents...her dad didn't like the film cause he doesn't like India..lol, but the women loved it. my friend said she shed tears!! Don't expect to shed tears though........it's not a bollywood tear jerker, she must just be sensitive

And I just read the synopsis to Robin Williams' Jack, and it is not inspired by that or Benjamin Button.
