Wishful thinking. No story, no plot, no suspense.
Film from start of beginning credits to end of end credits is just 115 min of which over 7 min is the end credits (with 1-2 video songs).

It was 10:50 AM show and surprisingly the theatre was pretty full as per multiplex norm. I remember watching another film a few weeks back and there were just 2-3 seats full.

Blue Audio: DD & DTS (At AMC, it was just the front speakers only)

I think, blue will be like luck, with more face value, of bigger star assemble! music is pretty good imho, but whenever rehman come up with good score, no doubt film is pathetic! :(

Same here bro Luck and New York .. couldn't get myself into Kaminey though no matter how hard I tried. 3 Idiots is one I am looking forward to as well because of Aamir.

i also liked LUCK... only for the performances of mithun, Danny and the short girl (from Chak De India) as well as the stunts

i agree the thrill of watching new hindi films has gone.... personally i prefer older movies....

personally, i preferred the smaller films of the year like Kisaan, Aloo Chaat... nothing great, but enjoyable small-scale movies

I would like to see views from other zulmies after they watch BLUE. With your views, pl indicate if it was a screening with good surround & Bass. Where I saw this film, screen was big and glossy but audio was just front channel that takes away portion of the fun and thrills that was to come from audio special effects.

BTW, talking of other recent films, I too liked LUCK even though I found the plot to be stupid. It was the sound effects (good surround and heavy Bass) that carried the day.

Other film I liked recently was "What's your Raashee". I know many didn't like the film. I think it depends upon age group ?? Anyway, I had liked the film in theatre and my 15 year old didn't. Now we saw it at home (DVD) and we all were glued to the screen. It was hillarious and it was interesting.
3.5 hour film and we all thoroughly enjoyed it.

-------------------------

Urbanlegend: As the discussion has turned into Blue and other recent films, could you please change the thread title to " All The Best; Blue: Reviews and Views "
Seeing the reactions so far, perhaps just one thread for these two competing films should suffice.

Thanks.

just saw blue.... most pathetic film ever

no story, no action, no suspense.... just an excuse to show off some big-budget hi-jinks.... honestly i couldn't understand the whole point of the film... what a waste

LUCK is a masterpiece in comparison....

all the best is strictly average.... Sanjay Dutt pitched in some good comedy

Ok, watched both yesterday in the comfort of home at 2x speed...

Neither is great, but I'd say they're somewhat tolerable. Especially since I was able to "enjoy" them both in 1/2 the time.

Blue: Budget could have easily been reduced by 20 -30 Crores if they got rid of the silly explosions. Great production values though, and more watchable than most Akshay movies. Must give the producers credit/discredit though for a lot of T&A zoom-ins. Though Lara didn't seem to care, Bollywood seems to have forgotten what family friendly movies are meant to be. 4/10

All The Best: The comedy is enjoyable if you suspend your logic AND try tro regress to the IQ of an average 10 year old. Otherwise, it wears quick. Million times better than Golmaal Returns though, and Johny Lever's scenes were quite engaging. Gotta say though that Mughda Godse's acting was abysmal compared to her intro in Fashion. Guess it makes a big difference having a talented director. The ending was completely ridiculous and out of left field though. 4/10
