I wonder if theatrical release of Dharamveer was Wide Screen. EVP DVD is 4:3. I saw a poster of Dharamveer (http://www.boxofficeindia.com/) where DHARAMVEER is written with beginning and ending letters taller than middle letters. This was normally done to indicate wide screen, Cinemascope or 70mm, presentations.

After the success of SHOLAY, when Dharamveerv was made, wide screen presentations became a prestige and publicity issue.

Any confirmatin??

Dharamveer was shot and presented in the normal 35MM aspect ratio. Naseeb was in fact the first film of Manmohan Desai to be shot in Cinemascope.

Actually any Cinemascope (2.35:1 widescreen) movie presented on DVD in 4:3 would be hard to miss. The difference in aspect ratios being so large that immediately you would notice that something was wrong.
