Really shocking.

Never knew that he was un-well, let alone Cancer. Was he really 70 ??
He looked young & healthy enough in his recent film "Welcome", competing with the hero/ young actors.

PEACE TO HIS SOUL!

It is amazing, how age and cancer can turn a looker into a scary thing :(

I'm not too familar with his early acting roles but liked some films he directed in the 80's - Qurbani, Dayavan, Janbaaz.

By the way, he didn't make it to 70, he was 69.

The director with whom Amitabh Bachchan gave a number of memorable hits, Prakash Mehra, is no more.
The two gave timeless blockbusters like 'Zanjeer', 'Sharaabi', 'Namak Halaal', 'Laawaris' and the biggest of them all, 'Muqaddar Ka Sikandar', together. But after the debacle of 'Jaadugar', the two did not work together.
Mr. Mehra was sick for a while and was on ventilator.
