The current (May/June) issue of Film Comment Magazine (the film mag for the Lincoln Center in NYC) has an entire section devoted to Bollywood and it's pretty good - not condescending at all. Here are the links to them:

This is not the complete article - just the intro- and there are 4-5 other articles on the topic in this issue. You can pick up the magazine at any major bookstore.

So where should I have posted this - DVD, Films and Music Reviews ?

PS. Zulm is mentioned at least twice in the issue.
