OK! Here is my cynical question re this FILM?

Orig dvd and every thing ripped from there, looks intensely ORANGE, MURKY, GARISH even skin tones! First I thought that was possibly only flash back, then live scenes will be normal! But ALAS! every thing alike and it was very difficult to watch when it looked like that so, naturally, I did not watch it.

It has been suggested to me that it was Director's INTENT to give film, murky, garish orange tone to fit with the MOOD :D :? I can not tell, what kind of mood director intended to convey

I understand some times films/dvds have a particular hue due to use of camera filters, e.g if you watch Harry Potter films each has its hue, green, blue etc, but over all effect is not murky or repulsive :o

Rana said, Theatric Release did not have this MOODY, DIRTY LOOK

How abt other viewers of film in the theater and on dvd, by BIG or SMALL  what are your opinions in this matter?

Was the sound messed up on the DVD? It sounded really strange - lots of echo. Also - the picture quality was horrible. So I agree with Arsh - although I did watch it all - the film was great.

I personally do not recall any odd orange tint to the picture. In fact the picture & sound quality of Rock On! was some of the best I have seen in an Indian movie in a long time. I was specially impressed with the quality, meaning much above the average. Based on the screenshots the DVD looks like crap and nothing like what I saw in the theater.

Theatrical screening definitely was not like this, where I saw it.

I am so disappointed with the quality of this DVD. The picture was really horrible! It looked as if it was a pirated version, but it was not! I feel so stupid that I got this DVD. No money should be wasted on such a low-quality DVD. I thought maybe the quality would be at least okay, since Khoya Khoya Chand was also released by Big and the quality was ok (apart from the horrible ads during the songs!). I'm really angry. How did they manage to make such a new and good looking film look so horrible on their DVD? :x

I hate digital projections though it sucks, it takes away the look of FILM as film, makes it look like a well done video game instead. :(

Not a problem with digital projection per se. A problem with bad equipment and sources.

Finally got around to watching this on the original DVD which I picked up from India - quick question - while I was watching the film, the sound from the surround speakers was very low - almost inaudible. I checked my setup, and that seems ok - is this a general fault on the DVD?
