Golmaal Returns, sequel to Golmaal, hits screens on 29 October, 2008.

T-Series has acquired the audio rights of the sequel. T-Series has also also bought the first movie Golmaal's exclusive copyrights including audio and audio visual songs (in all video formats) and of literary, dramatic and music work which includes ringtones in all formats and all songs as well. These rights (Golmaal) were with with Venus Records & Tapes. Looks like this is the first time that a music label has acquired the audio rights of a film from another company to promote the music of its sequel.

T-Series will release a single-CD pack with 15 songs, which will include songs from both films - Golmaal and Golmaal Returns.

He hasn't made Golmaal Returns to impress the critics. He wanted to make a good film which would entertain audience.

Is that a confession that the film is crap before it even releases?!??!?

On a side note, I personally thought Tusshar Kapoor was the loudest goonga I've ever seen in Golmaal, and he annoyed the hell out of me. Enough reason for me to stay away from this!!!

Or? Or maybe the fact that the first one was a piece of crass and vulgar film making, ofcourse not the Hrishikesh Mukherjee classic, but the similiar in only name, embarassment from useless director Rohit Shetty in which the stars tried to pass of buffoonery as acting. What a shame, that a great actor like Paresh Rawal so regularly reduces himself to this crass level.

In spite of how much I hate most of this flick's songs -- Tha Karke and Tu Saala, who writes such crap -- and despise Kareena Kapoor even more, I quite liked the first Golmaal and was anxious for this release.

But each day, this film looks less appealing than the day before. Now that it has opened to stupendously packed houses in India, I know for sure... I'm gonna wait for the DVD...
