Just a coincidence, as Ali posted these Zee Cinema PAL broadcast screen shots, I too picked up a used DVD of this film. My DVD is by ASIAN, not Rainbow that SS are posted on P1. ASIAN print is as good as Zee TV SS above.
Film good or bad, didn't deserve the Box Office fate it received. It's an 80-90s film long stuck and released recently. Obviously lot of patchwork must have been done. Dubbing is by replacement artists at most instances, but that can be expected. Sridevi voice used to be dubbed by other artists in most of her films, anyway.
Ignoring the dubbing flaws, I found the film to be very entertaining. You get to see old time singing dancing Sridevi in her prime. I think it's the only film with pairing of Akshay, present day superstar, and Sridevi who was a superstar when film was made. Songs/ music is very good as well. Well, music is by LKPL.
Patchwork: In one of the good dance numbers that has good song to go with it, there is no co-relation between dancing action and music/ lyrics.
As I said, ignore flaws because of being long stuck, it's surprisingly interesting.
Exactely Rana. Completely agree with you.
Actually the movie was 90% completed when shooting has stopped bec of misunderstanding between the director (Pankaj Prashar) and the producer. Eventually Pankaj has walked out of the movie and both Sridevi and Akshay kumar refused to complete their parts as they supported Pankaj.
The producer then brought some duplicate artisites and in some scenes you can see both Akshay and Sridevi are being shown from their back, these are the duplicate scenes. and the producer also brought some other artistes to dub for Akshay and Sri.
The producer then decided to release the movie in 2004 specially that Sridevi's Tv serial was going on Sahara channel at that time. Both Sri-Akki decided to take the producer to the court but then they backed off. and the movie was released.
The song you referred to is Hum sang itna pyar hai tujhko
