Guyz..Just found out an interesting tid-bit

Check out the old Shammi Kapoor film "China Town". The theme is exactly similar to DON, the new version.... !!! Looks like the 1978 DON was not so original after all !

& in both films..Shetty got bashed up by the hero (Shammi Kapoor in CT and Amitabh in DON)

Looks like Gumrah (Askok Kumar, Mala Sinha, Sunil Dutt) was remade twice once as Dahleez and second as Bewafa.

Also, Shammi Kapoor's China Town was remade as AB's Don and Dilip Kumar's Ram Aur Shyam become Hema Malini's Seeta aur Geeta.
