Indian Cinema is changing and I am the living proof of it.

Though if he wasn't partially right, I'd say that was a pretty cocky statement.

I would have to disagree with your latter statement. It's not like Hindi cinema is revisiting it's 80's decade recession. Infact, I would argue that hindi cinema is in a paradigm shift for good and bad. Area's ranging from improved CGI, to cinematography, to even libral outlook.

technology might be up! But creativity is at its NADIR imho!

CGI or SFX is not answer to every thing. Indy 4 sucked despite huge state of art CGI imho

Anurag Kashyap's Gullal (Gulal / Gulaal) was completely reshot after Zee Limelight became involved, and is now set to release in March 2009.

Can you elaborate further on Gulal?
Gulal is set in Rajasthan and is a fictional movie set a few years from now, though it is not too futuristic. It is a love story cum political cum thriller all rolled into one and is the journey of an honest man fighting a corrupt system. There is also a terrorist outfit angle in the movie. The movie was shot for a few days 3.5 years back [February 2002] but staled thereafter due to unavoidable circumstances. But I always wanted to make the movie and so there I am. Jhamu Sugandh is producing the movie. [Smiles] That's all I can elaborate at the moment.

Looks like an old quote.

Jhamu Sugandh died May 2008. So, who is producing it now and for how much of the film was Jhamu Sugandh involved ??

Gulaal Movie Review --> http://passionforcinema.com/gulaal-will-blow-you-up/

Gulaal is mind blowing. And I am not saying it just because it is fashionable to do so about anything to do with Anurag Kashyap on PFC!

Simply put, Anurag Kashyap will find it real hard to raise this bar he has set for himself. But failure to do so would mean Gulaal would remain his best work. Hopefully, Anurag would not let that happen.
