Thanks for the shots, Faddy.

Ugh, that does not look good to me. I'm seeing excessive noise reduction and edge enhancement. It would make a terrific SD DVD if it were downscaled to 853x480p, but at HD dimensions it looks very sub-par.

I think DNR is one of those diseases that some HD transfers prefer depending on who's doing them. I was reading something on the Pan's Labyrinth HD releases that differ in USA & Europe with the US New Line transfer having some noise reduction applied as a matter of preference (they like the smooth look :? )

720p rips look better than orig! Their orig dvd ZEROS has beaten down my underestimation for them by heavy margin on the negative side! :(

watched this x264 rip on my panasonic 42" plasma using the ps3.. have to say it looks mighty impressive for a bollywood movie.. while its not on par with hollywood x264 rips, it is however ground breakign and im looking forward to seeing (if ever) movies such as sholay, shakti and agneepath in similar fashion!!

if orginal bluray dvd would be at least like this, I wont whine or make much fuss

if some one can make a bluray disc out of this playable on ps3..i'll buy it. You can absolutely see source is high resolution comparatively.

** compare these.

Hmm, that's very strange. The grain is intact on this encode. Perhaps the 1080p screenshots were tampered with and the original BD is in fact fine?
