The OSO DVD packaging indicates that it is mastered from HD. However, this doesn't mean much until someone evaluates the PQ of EROS blu-ray disks.

so this is from the blu ray? and its 720 instead of 1080?

If it's 720p they are probably recycling the Indian digital cinema master which is usually 720p and not 2K as digital projectors in India are almost all the cheaper < 2K versions. That's better than DVD but not really what we want. We want the 1080p made from the 2K DI!

the screenshots u posted are definitely not from the blu-ray they are upscaled screens taken from a p2p upscaled rip which has been upscaled from a dvd 9 to 720p

did i say it was from bluray? : my point is that hey baby dvd master was damn good, any one could be fooled if dumped with 720p upscaled burnt on bluray disc, that sells under $5 now!

You can't fool people who know HD with a 480p master. A real 720p master will work for many, though. It is HD and it looks HD, just not 1080p HD.

BTW, if I remember HEY BABY SD had really bad DD 5.1 mix with BASS hugely out of proportion, sickening! Please correct me if I am wrong? thanks so I assume same 5.1 mix is getting onto BLURAY!

Hopefully it will be All Region. It is unlikely that they would make different disks for different regions.

There is no anamorphic concept in blu-ray (yet). I don't think it is in the blu-ray specs either.

Anamorphic technology is used to squeeze 16x9 picture in to 4x3 DVD space. Blu-ray (HD) is already 16x9, hence anamorphic is not needed. However, it is possible to use anamorphic technology to squeeze 2.35:1 (scope) picture in to 16x9 HD space to more effectively use 16x9 pixel structure but I don't think this is done yet.

I am not as technical as some of you (Rana, Zoran, New Deep (sorry for those I missed)) but I will try to let you know what I can .. since my computer does not have blu ray I will try to take snaps via my digi cam for you and give as much detail possible.

I just hope they didnt send me Heyy Babyy DVD instead of BR .. that would totally piss me off!
