that'll degrade your sound. connect the dvd sound to your stereo directly.

If, not? and u have only DIGITAL, COAX/TOSLINK connection..U wont hear any thing..IMHO!

ONLY way u can get sound out of this dvd is via analogue connections!

Actually, I think this is not entirely true. If you have a reciever or decoder that can decode MPEG sound then you will get sound thru the digital connections. Even otherwise you should setup your player to where the MPEG setting is set to 'MPEG --> PCM', this will enable you to get sound ffrom the digital outputs.

Arsh bhai check it out for me and confirm please. I would do it myself except that I don't have the 3 Deewaarein DVD yet.

I have my DvD-player connected with a digital cable to my receiver. The receiver will surround the sound, but it won't be 5.1.

Thnx for suggetion Sanjay..since DD/DTS, I have never used, analogue connections or PCM...

Yes!! It has 2 channel sound(MPEG 1) only!! Works with PCM!!

In Indian DVDS even, MONO/or Stereo, Even Antique/Old/Baba/Sky Shits.

These r 2 dvds, I came across that does not have sound, DD decoded!! and does not work via digital out put!!

Mr. India(EROS) and 3 DEEWARAEN!

The stereo is an old mini-system type thing, so it doesn't have multiple audio inputs. Its easier to not have to switch the wires whenever I want to watch a DVD. I'll try it though to hear what it sounds like.

just watched this a couple of days ago, have to say brilliant, best movie this year by far, Naseerudin Shah was excellent, its also nice to see Juhi experimenting again after Jhankar Beats. I dont think it was inspired that much by Shawshank at all and the ending was top notch !

Couldn't say it better !!!! What a great movie.. This movie deserves a better release. There are some missing scenes :ffs:..

P.S. Sound of the DvD is 5.1.

I don't know if whole scenes were missing, but it was obvious that some cuts were made. The scene with Juhi and the camerawoman is truncated and Vallabh Vyas' dialogue in another scene is censored.

I may post a full review of the movie and DVD later, but this is the first good Indian film I've seen so far this year. Some elements are reminiscent of The Shawshank Redemption, but the film is mostly original AFAIK. Naseer's performance was terrific.

I love this movie and want to add this to my DVD collection but didn't because of the atrocious DVD release by Spark. Now, I understand that there is another version released in the US by Indican Pictures:

Is it possible for any Zulmi to provide screenshots? I'm requesting this because it was a month ago I think, when I saw this film for the second time, but this time on the tv-channel Star Gold, not the Spark DVD. And the picture quality was brilliant: very good colours, good sharpness and the right image ratio.

Maybe the US version has a better quality?

Are there other versions too?

This one is dvd 9, source is indeed, dark, murky, interlaced dvd, OAR. So now sit and wait till the fat lady sings! :) SS off to ali bhaii for posting and may be @ that time, title of thread would require revision.
