Arsh, so KOYLA, YES BOSS and JUDAAII that you have are progressive?? Yes Boss and Judaaii that I have seen are the re-releases and they have subtitles and are interlaced. Arsh if you can confirm that your ancient SD copies are progressive, then it will confirm that they did turn interlaced when replicated/ inserting subtitles.

BTW are they single layer or dual layer??

Thanks.

Hi all,

I'm trying to remaster my disc of Dil to Pagal Hai (from the YRF 2-Disc Collector's set in the Cardboard Packaging)

Here are some before & after screens...let me know what you think.
My source DVD9 is interlaced. Simple IVTC will fix the interlacement. IMHO, it has a white film throughout.
To solve this, I desaturated after taking away 28% contrast levels. I added a measure of hue and then put some
saturation into it.

I upload them on a torrent site :) But don't know if it's KOSHER to discuss that in this site.

There was a pirate dvd of DTPH, there was an official non anamorphic and then anamorphic!

I definitely remember posting SS here when it was released! but some how can not find that thread with anamorphic SS. May be ali or UL can locate that thread for us!

BTW your magic touch has done wonder to compromised source you had some how! 8)

reminds me of good old days!!! deja voe!

ali always prefered non anamorphic/orig and of course :D I am anamorphic fan!

As far as I remember, YRF orig release was non-anamorphic and interlaced. The re-issue one was Progressive and anamorphic. So, there was big improvrement in PQ in case of DTPH re-release.

KKHH too was re-issued as Prog and anamorphic but as the orig too was Progressive, PQ improvement was marginal if any.

I have the Original re-released version of DTPH that I had bought when it came out as Progressive, as well as, anamorphic.
It has DD 5.1 Hindi audio and French Dolby Surround (not 5.1). French Dolby Surround that has 2 Ch but perhaps has Dolby Prologic encoded to decypher to surround as common in pre-DD days.

BTW, this re-release had better PQ and audio but had no separate extras disc. There are Extras but they are in the same disc.
