Emtan Magan is expected to be released this Friday. I have seen the DVD preview, and I'm sure you'll be happy with the picture and audio quality. Also releasing is Jambavan.

This is a great news. For a change, movies like Emtan Magan is coming with HQ V&A. I didnt like Thavamai Thavamirunthu (VGP) and not impressed with Autograph also. Seen Emtan Magan few times (may be 3 times) and looking forward for Ayngaran copy as well.

My feeling is that Vadivelu will win national award for his performance in this movie. Not sure how much you enjoyed, but I loved this movie (except the climax - which is always disappointing & expected in most of the Indian movies)

Thank You ARSH. Its good to be back.

Saw the film tonight. A horrible film. Gautham I guess was a one time wonder. Horrible direction, so many continuity problems, so many script errors, film was soo long also, I was praying this film to end after 2 AM. Wat the hell was up with showing time and date on the bottom of the screen?? Why do tamil films (maybe other laungages too) have tamil songs lip synced by white and black boys. This film had some ghetto ass black girls doing back ground dancing also.

Kamal hassan once again suprised me with his performance, I love it when I watch his films with no expectations. I have to say he did a fantastic job playing a matured cop. Jyothika was pretty decent too.

1.5 out of five stars just because of Kamal Hassan and Music. This film was too fake and can't be compared to Kakha Kakha.

My BIG PICTURE review on some of the forth coming DVDs...

Emtan Magan - Good. A serious comedy movie. Vadivelu is the man in action

E - Confused "Constant Gardner". Second half is more confused.

Veyyil - nothing great. Definitely worth mentioning GV Prakash. He did very good job in BGM. His recent audio is also decent. If he continue like this, he will be on my favorites soon (IR, ARR, YSR for now)

Chennai Kaadhal - Failure for Bharath.

Thiruvilaiyaadal Aarambam - You can watch with family, no "bad" scenes or fights, but definitely horrible movie. Dont know why ppl like this and call it hit. Only good thing is "ennamma kannu" remix - ofcourse IR gets the credit!

Rendu - O My Gosh. AVOID BY ALL POSSIBLE MEANS.

In general, dont go by the verdict in India. In India, people dont have any entertainment and they have to choose the best out of worst, so all the above stood above the worst. Also now with less tax and the ability for theatres to decide the price for first few weeks, all movies are running well. Even completely closed out theatres are opening up again.

I didn't think it was bad at all but then again I watch a Tamil movies once a year  Compared to what gets churned out from the Bollywood mill this was very good. I found it quite good although I didn't think Kamal Hassan suited the role. Not seen any of Gautham’s other movies but will hunt down Kaaka Kaaka since it’s so highly rated here.

Holy mother of crap--what the hell was that??!?!?? Tell me this movie is some sort of industry insider joke?? This is one of the worst, if not the worst movies I've seen with a big star like Kamal. Makes Chandramukhi look like a super star..haha

I don't understand why Menon's films are so hyped? KK sucked, and from what I hear, Minnale sucks too--I wouldn't be surprised. At least Surya is a pleasure to watch, and so is Venkatesh, and Asin of course ;) and HJ's songs. I actually couldn't stand Kamal in this movie--kept thinking at the back of my mind "why? just why??"

on the flip-side, the dvd is good overall.
