Shocked to see the horrible quality dvd authoring of Dhoom 2 dvd. Especially it was torture watching the dance movements which looked very unnatural with pausing, blurry and speedy motion, and it appeared like some kind of screwy animation, at the same time, it is very difficult on the eyesight. Terrible for replay value. This shaky movements on dancing scenes is also evident on Don dvd. Reminds me of the issue they had with video games that have very speedy fast, flashy repetitive movements, and the children in Japan who played them got disorientated, causing some to have epilepsy.

Print quality of Dhoom 3- (shuddering) at this rate, I wonder if it’ll most likely have dance motion scenes so fast that we won’t have to use remote ff on those parts, just enjoy watching regressed hindi dvds replicating the fast speed of 1920’s Charlie Chaplin silent films and then dvd will degenerate.

On Don dvd I noticed the dancing motions the one with Kareena and Shk and another with Shk dancing did look silly at times too fast and had lots of flashing, basically its like the scenes on remix non-stop song dvds that gives you a headache and eye strain.

DHOOM III will be an HD-DVD (Maybe YRF's first HD-DVD authored by the people at Prasad Video Digital supporting both HD formats).

Just kidding (had to throw that in) 8)

DHOOM 2 FIRST HD DVD with repeated frames !! my foot!

I have a pretty high end dvd player for deinterlacing and upscaling to 1080i.

a PP dvd like BLACK, was handled perfectly with very good, artifact free picture! But Dhoom 2 a prog throws my player's mechanics into a BIG FIT!

I think they are using sunny's bullet software to make it FAULTY/TRASHY PROG as PP will be misnomer!

My copy of Black is field-averaged. Is there another pseudo-prog version out? :?:

Thanks. 8) The difference here is the colour rendition, which was much better at this time period of 2004/5. Even though DVDs like BNB and Swades were PAL-to-NTSC, they still didn't have half the problems these so-called 'prog' discs do today.

A bad transfer for an awful movie. It's almost like they made it up as they went along. They spend all this money on shooting abroad, etc and no money on the script. I want my $16.99 + shipping back!
