The original Malayalam Version of the film is called 'PERU MAZHA KAALAM' - BIG RAIN SEASON. The DVD is available at SURYA.

That's great news, NewDeep! I loved the film but I hated how Eros messed up the image. Someone please provide screenshots when this one is released. :D

I just got a copy.

I must say the video transfer is GREAT.

- Single disc with outer slip case (well done)
- PAL anamorphic (niice)
- Dolby Digital 5.1 Hindi (very good); Dolby Digital 2.0 Hindi (bad)
- English, Hindi, Tamil, Telegu subs
- Audio commentary by director
- Deleted scenes
- Making of...
- Location hunt
- Region - All

Overall, a good product, the only bad thing about it being that the 2.0 audio is poor quality - with some "hum". However, the 5.1 audio is very good!

I wouldn't have even noticed it it wasn't pointed out. Is chroma delay detectable on normal playback?

No it isn't detectable in normal playback. But thanks mhafner and dragunr2 -- this is good info... I will forward this feedback to Excel -- they are very open to feedback.

I need your guidance mhafner and dragunr2. I am new to "chroma delay." Is it the same as "chroma bug"? http://www.hometheaterhifi.com/volume_8 ... -2001.html
Quote:
The basic "Chroma Bug" manifests itself as streaky or spiky horizontal lines running through the chroma channel, most notably on diagonal edges.
Quote:
Secondly, ignoring this problem produces lousy-looking video, and the user will not blame the authoring company. They will blame the player, and rightly so. Most MPEG decoders handle this issue fine.

Did you notice the chroma delay on any scene other than the temple scene?

Also - http://www.hometheaterdiscussion.com/fo ... -2266.html

If yes, then isn't chroma bug more of a hardware issue? Meaning, the bug is on the player and not on the disc? I am confused. Please advise. Thx.

For Anwar -- You can contact excelhomevideos if they ship overseas. Else, maybe I can ship you a piece ;-)
