I read about some reports at the recent TGS 2006 in Tokyo that they kept on hvaing to reboot the PS3s on show because of over heating problems, obviously Sony denies this;

Sony has delayed the PS3 in Europe to March 2007 sighting Blu-ray laser shortages. And on top of that traditionally all major console launches are marred by hardware problems. Xbox 360 has some ludicrous failure figures and I’m not holding my breath on the first batch of PS3 either. Oh yeh Xbox HD-DVD add-on goes on sale in November at a very reasonable price of $199.99USD, 199.99EUR & £129.99GBP - Microsoft are promising 1080p output from a software update via component or VGA no sign of HDMI on X60 as yet.
