I had not seen a thread for this movie hence this post.

This is a little gem that I dont know how I missed watching in such a long time. Its a TV flick no doubt for I dont know how it watches on the big screen. But the gags are great, the writing insightful and the structure fairly different.

Incidentally I have met the directors Raj and Krishna when they were talent scouting here in the Twin Cities several years ago. That script which they did ultimately shoot here was certainly nowhere close to the quality of what they have done here.

Certainly a recommended watch especially for the overseas desi audiences.

Aarkayne I can certainly understand your exitement about this movie, having met the directors. What I can't understand is your calling the script "insightful" and that too you being a script writer. Unless you mean borrowing from the tons of Desi movies already out. Granted the jokes are funny and slightly different. I too liked this movie because it was bold and short, and yes there was a hint of finese on the direction! See if I have the time to post some SS later!

Whoa.....scriptwriter...who me? :D ...no way Jose, at least not yet....i am only a hobbyist at best if even that....In any case my enthusiasm stemmed no doubt from the fact that I had met these guys and from whatever pre-conceived notions I had formed of that meeting, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of writing they had produced(after having seen their earlier work).

I have to admit that I have not seen too many desi movies ie made by makers here in the US, except maybe AMERICAN DESI which i liked as well and GREEN CARD which i totally detested. Maybe thats one reason I could not identify any ripped off jokes, but the movie did make me smile and thats a fact. At the end of the day, it laid out its plot well and summed things up quite nicely. I was a satisfied customer, maane ke apna paisa was ekdum vasool.

But I look forward to hearing your thoughts.
